We will engage in a variety of experiences that will support our understanding and implementation of Universal Design for Learning and Differentiated Instruction. The work we do in this yearlong professional development initiative will take place in our classrooms, in face-to-face professional learning and online through our website and blog. Our work together will be directly tied to our classrooms and experiences at Higginson School. We will produce artifacts and documents that will support our work with children and help us as we think of the remaining school year and next year. the ideas and pedagogy of Teaching All Learners and participate in a variety of experiences to deepen their understanding of this yearlong professional development initiative.
Learning OBJECTIVES
Using a Universal Design for Learning Framework educators and administrators will learn to use formative assessment data, inclusive practices, and support structures to develop effective instructional strategies and resources for all learners.
